Assign. 9-1

Weekly Written Analysis:
Sunday Best

Sunday Best is a gospel talent show that comes on BET on Sunday evenings. Let me tell you, this talent show is out of sight! If you want to really hear some real talent singing, then this is the show for you. Unlike American idol, the prizes are not as elaborate. The contestants win a new car, and a recording contract.
I started watching this competition last season, which was the first year of its existence. It seems to be getting better with the talent it is attracting. You must be as least 16 years of age to compete in this competition. This year the youngest contestant is 17, and she is a singing powerhouse!
Being a singer myself, it still amazes me and uplifts me to hear such beautiful gifts that God has given these individuals. There is such a wide variety of singing styles that you will find someone that is to your liking. If you get a chance to tune in, please do! BET on Sunday evenings at 9:00pm ET. You won’t be disappointed, I promise you that!

Assignment 7-1-Facebook

Weekly Written Analysis:
Facebook

Ok, I think I am hooked to facebook. I joined about 2 years ago, but really didn't like it to much. So I gave it such a break that I forgot my username and password. Let me tell you it was truly a hassle getting that information straightened out. As a matter of fact, it didn't get straightened out. I had to create a new account and start my page all over again.
So I have a new page now and it seems the rest of the world joined since the last time I accessed the site. It has truly been a high school, middle school, elementary school, church, girl scouts, childhood neighborhood friends, and other miscellaneous people that I have crossed paths with throughout life. It's amazing how much people change, yet are still the same! I have discovered that some of the conversations that took place years ago are still continuing like we never lost a beat. It's so refreshing to rush home and see what messages that await me from some of my old acquaintances.
We have all taken different paths in life. It's so nice to see how the people who made you so self conscience in life, have now grown up into responsible adults. I watched some my girlfriends tell me how addictive facebook is, but I just didn't know.

Assignment 5-1 Weekly Analysis

It seems here lately, the world is in tuned to what is going on with Chris Brown and Rihanna Fenty. Domestic violence is a very serious matter, and it seems that people are more interested in finding out all the details and instead of concentrating on getting these two young people help. They are so young to experience the things they are going through. It hard enough to deal with falling in love, but to do in it front of the world makes it even harder.

This is something that is actually very common amongst young people in this generation next. This is not something that only happened to Rihanna and Chris. This is something that we need to be educating our young people about. Prevention is what we need to be focusing on. The fact it has happened is more important to me, than who did what first.

Where have we gone wrong with this generation?
